![]() We visited Kumdoriland to ride this roller coaster, which has a very different first drop. |
The remainder of the ride was conventional. The white dome houses a small indoor coaster, which finished with a strong jolt, a sudden stop, on the outdoor brake run. |
![]() Wandering around the rest of the park was something like the Scooby Doo kids in the abandoned amusement park. Except this park was something like an abandoned Epcot! |
![]() It also was something like the old Futurama cartoon show, where large eight-foot heads of great scientific and political leaders were on display. |
![]() Stephen Hawking. Otherwise known as "that wheelchair guy" to Homer Simpson. |
![]() That guy who cloned Dolly the sheep, with Dolly the sheep. |
![]() Many of these buildings are vacant. Most were not open when we visited. Some were open but had an additional fee ... there was not enough time to visit these. |
![]() The reflection at the base shows hidden details in the surroundings. |
![]() This enormous building was one of the best themed. It seemed to have some sort of anime attraction. Based on the shape, it probably is an Imax-type of movie theater. |
![]() The building is like a spaceship that's landed, but on the scale of the Jawa transporter from Star Wars. |
![]() Interesting modern art. |
![]() Poster for a wild simulator ride, that seems to have an ecological theme. Looks something like the same concept as the raft ride at Animal Kingdom. |
![]() Interesting style. |
![]() Same building, different view. |
![]() One of those closed buildings that catches your eye. |
It's covered with a mesh of old bottles! |
![]() One of the buildings that had free entry -- the Energy pavilion. |
![]() Very much like Epcot's old CommuniCore exhibits. |
![]() |
![]() Something like the old World of Motion exhibits at Epcot. |
![]() Outside the Energy pavilion was this solar light collector, which normally would be on a roof. Note that motors track the sun. |
![]() Lenses in each honeycomb collect and concentrate sunlight into fiber optic cables, which go inside a building. It's as bright as a skylight, but without the added heat. What a great idea! |
![]() A section with pretty good junkyard art. |

![]() Looks something like a Star Wars fighter. |
![]() |
![]() One of the additional fee buildings had a health and body museum. |
![]() |
![]() It's a Maglev train! |
![]() The train is covered with perhaps 13 years of dust! |
![]() Poor abandoned Maglev train. |
![]() Somebody has humor, hiding the word "hot"... |
![]() A section of the park was set up for a Chinese culture festival. |
![]() One of several temporary buildings, but it's a pretty good copy of the Temple of Heaven |
![]() Much of this section was set up with displays that light at night. |
![]() There also were motorized diaramas, something like giant holiday store window displays. |
![]() |
![]() Note the ribbons at the base of the building ... they are seen in a video at the bottom of this page ... |
